Attn Senior Gentlemen: Have you ever experienced the dreaded Viagra side affect that is the 4 hour erection? My grandfather-in-law said he has a friend down at the Elks Lodge that could hook me up with some Viagra but I was wondering how common this side affect really is. What is the antidote if it happens? I've always been curious but I don't want to risk my life for the sake of fulfilling my curiosity. Any information will be greatly appreciated, Thanks! I noticed that too rhumba girl. I haven't used that one for months.

Because of medications I take I often have erection problems. My docs have recommended Viagra, but I have declined simply because of the side effects. Potential loss of vision is one of those side effects. I'd rather just live with what my situation is and make the best of it."

If ya really don't need it what it will do is make you break out in a sweat, your ears turn red and get hot and sweat like you're in a sauna. My wife works at a surgery center and one of the docs brought in some samples and passed them out to all the girls working there. nomad replied: "Never tried Viagra but was on a completely different med for something totally different. Though I didn't know it was dangerous at the time, mine lasted 8 hours. This was an intermittant side affect that I was unaware of at the time. My wife and I took advantage of the situation and stayed up (awake) all night. We both had trouble walking normally the next day. Not on that med anymore but it was fun while it lasted (true story)."

If your blood pressure is normal, you could develop an abnormally low bp, and all sorts of bad things will happen. Don't take it unless it's been prescribed for you. It will not enhance your sexual performance."

tj21 replied: "the worst is the 4 hour erection (yes it does happen). I have had a lot of patients regret asking me for the pre ion when it occurs. (What ends up happening if you get the 4 hr erection is the doctor if he/she makes a house call or the EMS comes they will end up having to withdraw the blood with a needle). And well if it comes to that viagra will not work at the regular dose anymore."

There are some minor side effects like head aches, stomach burns which don't last longer then an hour or so. If you use it properly and only if you need it then there are no long term side effects."
